A difficult day in Kariba

For everyone who has been checking in, we want to let you know that we are safe.

Yesterday, as we were preparing to head out for our water safari and fishing excursion, we received the deeply distressing news of a boat incident on Lake Kariba, not far from where we were.

What had begun as a day of planned activity quickly shifted as we became aware of the situation unfolding nearby. Our thoughts immediately turned to the families affected and the uncertainty and grief they were facing.

One of the captains from our boats joined the response efforts by speedboat, and witnessing the coordinated rescue activity so close to us was profoundly sobering.

Out of respect for those impacted, we made the decision to pause our content and social media activity. In moments like these, it felt appropriate to step back and allow space for those directly affected.

We are grateful for the messages and concern we have received. We are safe.

Our thoughts are with all the families and individuals affected by this tragedy. We hope for comfort for those who are grieving, strength for those still awaiting news, and safety for all involved in the ongoing response and recovery efforts.

May those who lost their lives rest in peace. 🕊️

Sometimes we wait for opportunities to come to us, when there are actually platforms created to give us access.

People often ask me, “How did you get access to this? How did you get there? Who connected you?”

Sometimes, it simply starts with showing up.

Events like The Table – Zimbabwe Business Linkup, hosted by Zimbabwe Unrecognised Women & Men in Business, are about creating that access — access to people, information, knowledge, networks and opportunities that can help you grow.

This year’s theme, “From the Margins to the Mainstream – Building Visible, Viable Women & Men-Led Enterprises in Zimbabwe,” speaks directly to the need for businesses that are doing incredible work to become more visible, connected and positioned for growth.

I’m proud to be the MC, and I hope to see you there.

✈️ Travel Thursday just got an upgrade.

One morning. One city. One unforgettable flight home.

I flew to Johannesburg for the day with fastjet, squeezed in a little shopping and brunch, but the real highlight? Being among the first to experience Fastjet Zimbabwe’s new Airbus A320 on my journey back to Harare.

It’s more than just a new aircraft—it represents a new era of regional travel.

With the A320 now connecting Johannesburg ✈️ Harare ✈️ Victoria Falls, we’re making travel more accessible, strengthening tourism, connecting people, and showcasing Zimbabwe to more visitors across the region.

As someone who loves travelling and telling Zimbabwe’s story, it’s exciting to see investments that make our skies busier, our destinations easier to reach, and our tourism industry even stronger.

Here’s to bigger journeys, better connections, and putting Zimbabwe on more travel itineraries. 🇿🇼❤️

Thank you, Zimbabwe, for the experience.

Whatever you want is already within you.

So many of us spend our lives waiting—for the perfect opportunity, the perfect timing, or for someone to tell us we’re ready.

The truth is, you don’t have to wait.

Start living as the person you aspire to become.

Carry yourself with confidence.
Protect your peace.
Believe in your vision, even when no one else can see it.
Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep showing up.

Every decision you make today is shaping the life you’ll wake up to tomorrow.

Don’t stop dreaming because progress feels slow. Seeds grow underground long before anyone sees the harvest.

Trust the process. Trust God’s timing. Trust yourself.

One day, your current reality will become the life you once only imagined.

The future you’re praying for begins with the person you choose to be today.

What an incredible morning! 🎙️

Today, I had the privilege of being a guest on Stars of Zimbabwe on ZOU FM Campus Radio, where I shared my journey—from being a vendor to becoming a Brand Strategist, Customer Experience Consultant, entrepreneur, and philanthropist—and the lessons that have shaped the woman I am today.

We spoke about purpose, resilience, entrepreneurship, branding, and the importance of creating opportunities instead of waiting for them.

If there’s one message I hope listeners took away from our conversation, it’s this:

Never be ashamed of where you started. Every chapter of your life is preparing you for the next one. Have the courage to begin. Keep showing up. Keep growing. Keep becoming. Don’t wait for opportunities to come to you—create them. That’s the heart of Kwana Kwana.

A heartfelt thank you to Timothy Tapfumaneyi and the entire ZOU FM Campus Radio team for the warm welcome and the opportunity to share my story.

Kwana Kwana. Let’s build something. 🤍

Join me as I share my journey—from humble beginnings to entrepreneurship, brand strategy, customer experience, and the lessons that have shaped who I am today.

We’ll be talking about purpose, resilience, creating opportunities, and why I believe in living by one simple philosophy: Kwana Kwana—create the opportunity.

I hope my story encourages someone to keep believing, keep growing, and never be ashamed of where they started.

📅 Saturday, 1 August
⏰ 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
📻 ZOU FM Campus Radio 105.2 FM (Harare)

Thank you to Timothy Tapfumaneyi and the ZOU FM team for the invitation. I look forward to an inspiring conversation.

Let’s build something. Kwana Kwana.

Today, we stand behind our queen Nic Coc. 🇿🇼👑

As Nicole Nyawera takes to the Miss Supranational stage in Poland tonight, let’s unite as Zimbabweans and cheer her on with pride.

Reaching this stage is no small achievement—it takes months of preparation, resilience, discipline, and an unwavering belief in your dream. Nicole has carried our flag with elegance and grace every step of the way.

Congratulations on already winning Best National Costume with the breathtaking Bridal Veil creation inspired by the iconic Bridal Veil Falls in Chimanimani. What a beautiful way to showcase Zimbabwe’s natural beauty, culture, and resilience to the world.

Tonight, let’s continue to support her. Like, comment, share, and send your prayers and well wishes. Every bit of encouragement matters.

Remember, this is bigger than one person. Every milestone Nicole achieves is a victory for Zimbabwe. 🇿🇼

All the best, Nicole! You have already made us incredibly proud. Go and shine. The whole nation is behind you. ❤️✨
