MADZIBABA ENOCK (Hebert SENDA) ACCUSED OF REPEATEDLY RA**NG 21-YEAR-OLD WOMAN
A 21-year-old woman has reported Budiriro religious leader Madzibaba Enock, identified as Hebert Senda, to police, accusing him of repeatedly ra**ng her over a period of more than a year.
Senda reportedly leads the Johane Masowe Yechishanu, Nyenyedzi Nomwe Sect in Budiriro 4, Harare.
According to the complainant’s statement to police, she initially went to the shrine seeking spiritual assistance and was allegedly advised to remain at the religious site for continued prayers.
She alleges that the first incident occurred in July 2025 when a female church member woke her during the night and took her to a vehicle where Senda was waiting.
The woman claims she was given a drink that made her feel dizzy before Senda allegedly drove her to a lodge in Harare’s central business district.
She alleges that the female church member booked a room and took her inside before leaving after Senda arrived.
According to the complainant, Senda then allegedly r***d her several times and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the alleged abuse.
She further alleges that the sexual abuse continued on other occasions, with Senda allegedly taking advantage of circumstances at the shrine to assault her.
The woman reportedly later regained access to her mobile phone and contacted her sister, who assisted her in reporting the matter to police.
The case was reported at Budiriro Police Station under RRB number 6872764.
The allegations have not been tested in court, and Senda remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
