FROM INBOX | Some officers from the ZRP Magunje, Hurungwe, who were deployed at Cubsden Consolidated’s site along the Sanyati River, allegedly stole a safe containing over US$246,000 and sold all the fuel from the company’s parked heavy-duty trucks.

The private company was carrying out a river rehabilitation program when the ZRP, led by Officer Commanding Mash West Tawonei Nyazema, stopped the work, accusing the company of illegal riverbed mining.

However, the company later obtained a High Court order requiring the ZRP to leave the area. When company officials returned, they found thousands of litres of fuel missing and the safe with over US$246,000 gone.

The police are reportedly refusing to comply with the urgent High Court order, despite the operations being legally approved.

A company official said they are still compiling a full list of missing property and equipment, with plans to take legal action against both Nyazema and the Magunje Officer in Charge.

Cubsden has not been able to operate for the past month due to the ZRP’s actions. The disruption has affected both the rehabilitation project and the management of the Rengwe Conservancy. The company estimates losses of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

In the pictures are private security personnel deployed by Cubsden to protect its equipment. They claim they are facing ongoing harassment from ZRP officers.

SAD STORY💔 | A 14-year-old girl from Chitungwiza was wrongly accused of abortion after Citimed Chitungwiza Hospital misdiagnosed her condition as a nine-month pregnancy.

According to court records, the ordeal started on January 14, 2025, when the girl was first diagnosed with a heart problem at Citimed. On January 17, she returned to the hospital with chest pains. Blood tests showed she had anaemia, but an abdominal scan shockingly claimed she was nine months pregnant.

Her parents were shocked since her stomach was not swollen. The hospital defended itself, saying the “baby” was not moving because there was a lack of fluids in her stomach.

The family doubted the results and later tests by other doctors proved the hospital was wrong, the girl actually had adenomyosis, a rare medical condition, not a pregnancy.

Despite this, the girl was arrested several times on abortion-related charges, while her father, Mavuto Chiocha (42), was also arrested and convicted after clashing with the hospital’s CEO. He insists the case is a cover-up, and the Health Services Board is now investigating.

Tanaka Mushambi, a 23-year-old woman from Mandara, Harare, has appeared in court for running a brothel disguised as a massage parlour.

The State says that between June and August 2025, she used a house at 817 Grosvenor Road, Highlands, for prostitution. The case came to light on 19 August 2025 after a 14-year-old boy reportedly contacted one of the women through an online platform and paid with groceries. Mushambi was arrested and denied bail while investigations continue.

Authorities said brothels break the law, damage public morals, and expose children and vulnerable people to exploitation. The justice system will deal firmly with such cases to protect society.
