Why do we celebrate Easter
Easter is central to the Christian faith , continuing the wonderful story that began with the birth of jesus into our world and the start of his saving mission . On Good Friday we remember jesus sacrificial death by crucifixion, hands and feet nailed to a rough wooden cross , crucified between two convicted criminals. Although innocent of any crime , out of his vast love jesus suffered on our behalf, choosing to die for all humankind. But jesus death wasn't the end . Three days latter on Easter Sunday, we celebrate his rising from the dead and his victory over sin ,darkness and death . The burial tomb was empty. God the Father had raised jesus to life again and now he is alive for evermore .
New life in Jesus
As Christian, we at Hope chapel worldwide believe that through his death and resurrection, jesus is the pathway to God the Father He embodies the truth and he is the source of new life in all it's fullness, as it was meant to be . Salvation and eternal life are promised by God to all who believe and ut their trust in him . This is God s loving free gift to us, our for the taking if we accept jesus as Lord and Saviour . Will this Easter bring you new life in jesus ?
