As women navigate the transformative journey of menopause, it's essential to address the often-overlooked issue of body shaming. Societal pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards can exacerbate the emotional challenges of menopause, leading to feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem. I've seen many women struggle with the physical changes that come with menopause, such as weight gain and redistribution, leading to negative self-talk and self-doubt. As a midwife, I want to assure women that their bodies are not defined by their shape or size. Every body is unique, and every woman deserves to feel confident, beautiful, and empowered, regardless of her stage of life.
