COMMISSIONING OF A NEW CLASSROOM BLOCK CONSTRUCTION PROJECT AT GURURE PRIMARY SCHOOL BY HON DEPUTY MINISTER AND MP MAKWIRANZOU
On 13th September 2025, Hon Deputy Minister of Mines and Minerals Development and Member of Parliament for Mutoko North Constituency Dr Engineer Caleb Makwiranzou donated cement and building materials for the construction of a new classroom block at Gurure prim sch in Ward 5 Mutoko. Hence commissioning a classroom block construction project and continuing with his commitment to education and community welfare.

Hon Dr Makwiranzou was accompanied by the community leadership and Headman Kadiki. Community leadership represented by mr Chidhakwa and mr Jaspa Masango commended and applauded collaborative efforts by Hon Dr Makwiranzou, Ward 5 Councilor mr Mahara and Nyamuganhu Ward 5 community people moreover lauded their efforts of embarking on this crucial construction journey.
Therefore construction of a new classroom block at Gurure primary school will go a long way in improving education and welfare of our children as well as shaping the future of the young generation.

HON DEPUTY MINISTER AND MP MAKWIRANZOU DONATES TO GURURE PRIMARY SCHOOL: MUTOKO
On the 13th September 2025, Hon Member of Parliament for Mutoko North Constituency and Deputy Minister of Mines and Minerals Development Dr Engineer Caleb Makwiranzou continued with his commitment to education and community welfare by donating building materials, cement..etc to construct a new classroom block at Gurure primary school in Nyamuganhu Ward 5 Mutoko.
Thanks to the collaborative efforts by hard working Ward 5 Councilor mr Mahara and Hon MP Makwiranzou for joining efforts together with community leadership, Gurure prim sch SDC and Ward 5 community people in mobilization of resources and joining hands together to construct a new classroom block at Gurure prim sch. Under the leadership of Ward 5 Councilor mr Mahara, Nyamuganhu community people have managed to prepare 40 000 bricks as preparations to construct a new classroom block at Gurure prim sch intensifies.
As Ward 5 journey to construct a new classroom block resumes, Hon Dr Makwiranzou today 13th September 2025 donated about 10 bags of cement and rolls of brick force wire which was handed over to Gurure prim sch Headmistress mrs Judith Dangarembizi and School Development Committee (SDC) .Hon Deputy Minister Makwiranzou was accompanied by Mutoko North Constituency Coordinator mr Madzinga, Architect Mudondo, Headman Kadiki, Cnlr Mahara, local leadership mr Chidhakwa, mr Jaspa Masango, mr Itai Rutsito, muzvare Elizabeth Chikuni, muzvare Annah Nyamakope, muzvare Kapanga..etc Hon Deputy Minister Makwiranzou also had the opportunity to tour Gurure Clinic as preparations for the official opening of Gurure Clinic slated for October 2025 intensifies.

ZIMBABWE GENDER COMMISSION ( ZGC) MAKING SIGNIFICANT STRIDES TOWARDS PROMOTING GENDER RELATED ISSUES AND SOCIAL COHESION
Zimbabwe Gender Commission ( ZGC) is making significant strides towards promoting gender related issues that affects both men and women, promoting social cohesion and a gender sensitive society were both men and women recognize that equality benefits everyone. Recently on 20th August 2025 MOSC launch, ZGC joined hands with other partners in launching the Mobile One-Stop-Centre ( MOSC) project that was held at Chatiza primary school in Ward 14 Mutoko.
MOSC project was launched under the theme "STRENGTHENING ACCESS TO VICTIM-FRIENDLY JUSTICE SERVICES AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR SURVIVORS OF SGBV IN HARD-TO REACH AREAS IN ZIMBABWE ",. Zimbabwe Gender Commission (ZGC) was established in terms of section 245 of Zimbabwe Constitution to monitor and ensure implementation of gender equality in Zimbabwe . Delivering a speech during the launch of the Mobile One-Stop-Centre (MOSC) project aimed at strengthening access to GBV services, Hon Minister of Women Affairs, Community and SMEs Development Hon Senator Monica Mutsvangwa underscored the need for promoting gender equality, collective approach in the fight against GBV and sexual violence thereby promoting social cohesion.

Addressing all stakeholders gathered during a briefing meeting that was held at Chatiza primary school in Ward 14 Mutoko, on 20th August 2025 launch of the Mobile One-Stop-Centre ( MOSC) project, Hon Minister of Women Affairs, Community and SMEs Development Hon Senator Monica Mutsvangwa underscored the need for collective approach in the fight against GBV and sexual violence. She emphasized that traditional leadership, local leadership, partners and community people we have to join efforts in resolving escalating GBV cases that hinders progress, peace and economic development of our communities.
Hon Minister Senator Monica Mutsvangwa highlighted that traditional leadership plays a significant role in resolving GBV cases, providing for safe shelter, food etc for the survivors of SGBV hence we recognize the great work that is being done by our traditional leaders, partners and all stakeholders. On 20th August 2025 Hon Minister of Women Affairs ,Community and SMEs Development Hon Senator Monica Mutsvangwa launched the Mobile One-Stop-Centre project aimed at strengthening access to GBV services. The project launch was held at Chatiza primary school in Ward 14 Mutoko under the theme "STRENGTHENING ACCESS TO VICTIM-FRIENDLY JUSTICE SERVICES AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR SURVIVORS OF SGBV IN HARD-TO REACH AREAS IN ZIMBABWE ",.
Thanks to collaborative efforts by Zimbabwe Gender Commission, Ministry of Women Affairs, UNDP ZIMBABWE, PAMUHACHA and other partners present were NYAHUNURE COMMUNITY TRUST, LEGAL RESOURCES etc the Mobile One-Stop-Centre project is anticipated to adress and reduce cases of GBV and sexual violence which is escalating in Mutoko and Mashonaland East province at large hence MOSC project seeks to strengthen access to GBV services, counseling, health screening and legal services to survivors.

HON MAKWIRANZOU AND ROTARY INTERNATIONAL TOURING MUTOKO NORTH CONSTITUENCY SCHOOLS DONATING READING BOOKS
On 25th July 2025 Hon MP Makwiranzou and also Deputy Minister of Mines & Mining Development was at Katsukunya primary school in Mutoko accompanied by Commissioner for Gender mrs Dr Nyangulu in collaboration with Rotary Club Harare Central donating reading books for learning. Also present was Mtk North Constituency Coordinator mr Madzinga, Architect Mudondo, Ministry of Education mr Mapinda. The occasion was graced by school Heads from Mutoko North Constituency schools, local leadership, SDCs, primary school learners and community people etc
The leadership's commitment to providing quality education to the marginalized rural communities through donation of reading books for learning is truly inspiring therefore about seven primary schools received reading books and benefited from the collaborative efforts by the leadership Hon Makwiranzou, Commissioner for Gender mrs Dr Nyangulu & Rotary Club Harare Central.
Beneficiary primary schools were Katsukunya, Gumbure, Nyamuzuwe, Mutambwe, Manhemba, Tsiga and Makaha primary schools. Host primary school Katsukunya Headmistress mrs Chiimba was very grateful to the leadership's commitment to providing quality education to the underprivileged learners.
