SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE AND BUSINESS EXHIBITION TAKES CENTER STAGE AT MUTOKO AGRICULTURAL SHOW AND BUSINESS EXPO
The three-day Mutoko Agricultural Show and Business Expo which featured Farmers, Business Entrepreneurs, Government departments, Parastatals,Mtk Rural District Council, NGOs and Budja Community Radio concluded today ( Friday) 1st August 2025 at Chikondoma Stadium in Mutoko with strong turnout and high quality displays hence Mutoko district sprang to life today with jubilation because of entertainment from local talented artists, musicians and media coverage by Budja Fm Community Broadcasters during the exclusive Agricultural Show and Business Expo.

All is set for the official opening of Mutoko Agricultural Show and Business Expo. The event's official opening is going to be held tomorrow Friday 1st August 2025 at Chikondoma Stadium in Mutoko.

HON MAKWIRANZOU AND ROTARY INTERNATIONAL TOURING MUTOKO NORTH CONSTITUENCY SCHOOLS DONATING READING BOOKS
On 25th July 2025 Hon MP Makwiranzou and also Deputy Minister of Mines & Mining Development was at Katsukunya primary school in Mutoko accompanied by Commissioner for Gender mrs Dr Nyangulu in collaboration with Rotary Club Harare Central donating reading books for learning. Also present was Mtk North Constituency Coordinator mr Madzinga, Architect Mudondo, Ministry of Education mr Mapinda. The occasion was graced by school Heads from Mutoko North Constituency schools, local leadership, SDCs, primary school learners and community people etc
The leadership's commitment to providing quality education to the marginalized rural communities through donation of reading books for learning is truly inspiring therefore about seven primary schools received reading books and benefited from the collaborative efforts by the leadership Hon Makwiranzou, Commissioner for Gender mrs Dr Nyangulu & Rotary Club Harare Central.
Beneficiary primary schools were Katsukunya, Gumbure, Nyamuzuwe, Mutambwe, Manhemba, Tsiga and Makaha primary schools. Host primary school Katsukunya Headmistress mrs Chiimba was very grateful to the leadership's commitment to providing quality education to the underprivileged learners.

MUDZONGA PRIM SCH LEARNERS EMBARKS ON AN EDUCATIONAL ADVENTURE TRIP TO HARARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
On 25th July 2025 Mudzonga primary school learners from Mutoko embarked on an educational adventure trip to Harare Robert Mugabe International Airport, touring the Airport and National Heroes Acre.
There was buzz of excitement from Mudzonga school learners led by their dedicated teachers in-charge mrs Dangarembwa, mr Nyabanga and SDC member mrs Kanyemba.
What makes this Mudzonga primary school trip adventure story even more remarkable is that Mudzonga prim sch is defying the odds. Located in Mutoko rural communities popularly known for horticulture, farming where schools are often known to struggle, Mudzonga prim sch led by hard working Headmaster mr Mhakayakora is setting standards and proving that with determination and hard work, anything is possible. focus.

COMMUNITY BROADCASTERS EMBARKS ON SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGHTS (SRHR) AWARENESS REFRESHER AND BRAINSTORMING CONTENT CREATION SESSION
On the 7th July 2025, as Community Broadcasters we successfully participated in a Refresher and Brainstorming session on content creation which was held in Marondera together with other Community Radio Stations under THE AMPLIFY CHANGE network grant being implemented by ZACRAS ( Zimbabwe Association of Community Radio Stations) and ROZARIA MEMORIAL TRUST.
Objective of the Refresher and Brainstorming session on content creation is to empower Community Broadcasters with knowledge and skills as well as collaborative approaches in broadcasting content aimed at reducing teenage pregnancies, early childhood marriages and improving Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) awareness etc.

NYAMUGANHU WARD 5 MUTOKO PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETING BETWEEN COMMUNITY PEOPLE AND CRG MINING CO ON ESIA DOCUMENT
On the 4th of July 2025, Nyamuganhu Ward 5 community people had the opportunity to participate during a fruitful public consultation meeting with CRG mining Company on Environmental and Social Impact Assessment ( ESIA) document. The interactive public consultation meeting was held at Gurure Business Centre. The proposed ESIA doc by Ward 5 community advocated for improved road services, access to water through drilling of solar powered boreholes and improved corporate social responsibility.
Thanks to SILVEIRA HOUSE for empowering Environment Monitors ( Community Monitors) and community people with environmental awareness knowledge and knowledge on ESIA. Ward 5 Councilor mr Mahara emphasized on the need to consider employment of local community people hence Cnlr Mahara urged CRG mining Co to employ the majority of mine workers from Ward 5 and mining skills development.

MUTOKO, BUHERA AND MBERENGWA COMMUNITY EXPERTS (ENVIRONMENT EXPERTS) REFLECTION MEETING
On 25th June 2025 Community Experts or Environment Experts from Mutoko, Buhera and Mberengwa communities converged in Harare at Silveira House, Chishawasha with the assistance from SILVEIRA HOUSE, Community Experts successfully discussed issues on ESG ( Environmental Social Governance), ESIA ( Environmental and Social Impact Assessment ) etc in a bid to promote social cohesion and environmental cohesion, mutual understanding on environmental issues amongst community people.
