The Filipino community in Andorra is gearing up for a historic milestone as FilAnd (Filipinos in Andorra Association) celebrates its 25th Anniversary this coming September 20, 2025, at La Closeta, La Massana (Comú de La Massana).

For a quarter of a century, FilAnd has served as the heart and voice of the Filipino community in Andorra, building bridges of solidarity, promoting Filipino culture, and providing a home away from home for kababayans living and working in this small but vibrant European nation.

🌟 𝒜 𝒥𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓃𝑒𝓎 𝑜𝒻 𝟤𝟧 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈.

Founded in the year 2000, FilAnd began as a small circle of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) united by the desire to support one another while preserving their cultural identity. Over the years, it grew into a recognized and respected organization, not only within the Filipino community but also in the wider Andorran society.

Through its various programs and events, FilAnd has consistently championed bayanihan spirit, offering assistance to members in need, organizing cultural and sports activities, and maintaining close ties with the Philippine Consulate in Andorra and the Philippine Consulate General in Barcelona.

The silver anniversary will be marked by a full-day celebration of sports, music, and cultural festivities.

• Morning: Friendship Volleyball Sportsfest — promoting health, camaraderie, and teamwork among kababayans.
• Afternoon: Grand Anniversary Program at La Closeta — featuring cultural presentations, community recognitions, musical performances, and special messages from community leaders and guests.
• Evening: A joyous gathering filled with food, music, and shared memories to cap off a historic day.

The event promises to be a fitting tribute to the organization’s long history of service and a reminder of the important role Filipinos play in the multicultural fabric of Andorra.

Last night, the Filipino community in Andorra came together to honor the retirement of Mr. Hans-Peter Holbach Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Andorra @ Sentro Restaurante Filipino-Asiático

For years, Mr. Holbach served with compassion, dignity, and unwavering support for our kababayans — helping bridge cultures and strengthen ties between the Philippines and Andorra. May 9, 2007-April 30, 2025
