Among the places we had to see in Dikwella, in South of Sri Lanka is The Wewurukannala Vihara temple. It houses an image of a seated Buddha, the largest statue in all of Sri Lanka, which is at 160ft high that dates back to 1782 – 1798 during the time of King Rajadhi

The temple has three parts, the oldest being about 150 years old. But let us show you the breathtaking more than life sized statues we snapped at.

One of the most amazing moments when you travel is when visiting the local markets. Not to exercise anything else but your senses to gain more with identifying the differences or similarities across all markets you visited in your life. The market in your area may also be totally different from another market in another place within the same country.

When we visited Dickwella Public Market in Sri Lanka it was like a walk in memory lane as if we’ve been there before… or as if I’ve been there before as it resembles the similarities of the market place where my grandmother used to sell her fresh tobaccos and Tuba (coconut wine).

We just can’t get enough of the Maldives. It’s the closest destination to the Philippines in terms of natural beauty of its shores, oceans, and bounty. The only differences are The Maldives have smaller islands, one needs a water taxi to go to different islands, and Philippines has more natural riches.

But The Maldives is also crazy beautiful.
