The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute has announced “John Galliano: Horizons” as its spring 2027 exhibition and the inspiration for next year’s Met Gala. Spanning four decades of Galliano’s career, the exhibition will trace his creative journey from his groundbreaking Central Saint Martins graduation collection through his influential tenures at Givenchy, Christian Dior, Maison Margiela, and his eponymous label. Galliano becomes only the third living designer to receive a solo Costume Institute exhibition, joining Yves Saint Laurent and Rei Kawakubo.
