Rare-earths exports were “settled” under a one-year supply deal, and the US cut related tariffs by 10 per cent. However, there was no agreement on AI chips, and discussions did not cover China buying Russian oil or Taiwan, with the US taking a “referee” role between Nvidia and Beijing.
