Creative Media Authority and PopArabia have formed a two-year partnership to host specialised songwriting camps. reflecting Abu Dhabi’s position as a Creative City of Music within UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network, and supporting the growth of the UAE’s creative industries.

The upcoming camps will be held in Abu Dhabi and attended by leading artists, writers and producers from around the world. This approach not only highlights the region's unique musical identity but also positions its rhythm and creativity on a global stage, while promoting an enriching experience of understanding between diverse cultures.

This collaboration continues to nurture talent and drive innovation in the UAE’s dynamic music scene. As it expands the variety of offerings in the music industry while fostering a vibrant local talent pool.

We are still thinking about our mission with PopArabia which ran from November 30 to December 4. Both the b2b and song camp parts of the mission were a massive success and forming those relationships with Canadian songwriters and music industry folks with their counterparts from the MENA region and Europe was so productive and fruitful. We can't wait to see how things develop from here.
