Before I write a single word or sing a single note, I try to set an intention.

i made this when i had too much feeling and not enough words.
when my body knew something my brain hadn’t caught up to yet.
i sat with it. let it cook. let it overheat.
and when it finally broke open – this is what came out. some music explains itself. this one just is.
