Title: *Statement on the Attempt to Push for a Third-Term Tenure in the Federal House of Representatives*
The attention of the Concerned Citizens of Ahiazu and Ezinihitte has been drawn to the ongoing attempts to push for a third-term tenure for the Federal House of Representatives seat currently occupied by representatives from ezinaihitte.
Let it be categorically stated that such an agenda is dead on arrival. We must continue to uphold a political culture founded on equity, fairness, and justice.
Within Ahiazu and ezinaihitte, there has long existed a rotational understanding guiding representation in the Federal House of Representatives. The principle has been clear and fair: ezinaihitte serves two terms, Ahiazu serves two terms.
Having completed its two-term tenure, ezinaihitte has had its rightful turn. It is now the turn of Ahiazu, and more specifically, the turn of the Ekwerazu within Ahiazu, to produce the next representative.
Those advocating a third-term tenure for ezinaihitte are not only working against the spirit of fairness and balance, but are also jeopardizing the political future of the younger generation. We must remember that those who seek equity must come with clean hands.
We have nothing personal against our brother from ezinaihitteโhe remains a respected individual. However, he must not allow himself to be influenced by those who seek to undermine democracy and disrupt equity for selfish gain.
If we are truly committed to ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the grassroots, then justice and fairness must guide our actions and decisions.
Mbaise has always been a great and united people. Let us not destroy the peace and mutual respect we have built over the years because of personal ambition or political greed. Let the rotational arrangement continue so that equity, peace, and progress will continue to thrive.
To those behind the third-term
