She changed the way so many of us see the ocean, not just as water or “seafood,” but as a wild world full of life worth knowing and protecting.

With Mission Blue, she keeps fighting for that world every day.

The way we learn to see the world starts with you. Please show us how beautiful it is, but also talk to us about the problems it faces, even the difficult ones.

We may be kids, but understanding what’s happening around us is how we learn to care. And one day, we’ll be the ones responsible for this world.

I was really angry when I saw this video! A bat flying into your home is not a reason to hurt or kill it.

Bats are incredibly important for our ecosystems and they even help keep insect populations, including mosquitoes, under control.

If you don’t know how to safely help a bat get back outside, call a wildlife rescue or a specialist who does. A little patience can save a life.
