Five years ago today, I lost my mother.

A woman who became a widow at 35 and devoted her entire life to raising six children. A woman who sacrificed everything so we could have something. A woman who would go hungry just to make sure we were fed.
Ezinnem, not a day goes by without thoughts of you. We still mention your name in our conversations, laugh at memories of you, and wish you were here to witness all that has happened since you left.

The audacity of some vendors really needs to be studied 😭

I reached out to a brand to order a barrel jean and a 2-piece outfit. When it got delivered, the barrel jean fit perfectly, but the 2-piece was extremely tight. I could barely zip the trousers and I was so uncomfortable in it.
So I messaged her, thinking maybe she mistakenly sent a smaller size. Only for her to tell me that it was actually the size I requested, but they had to “manage the remaining fabric” to make mine 😳
Excuse me… what do you mean by manage the fabric?? You knew there wasn’t enough material to make the outfit properly, yet you still charged me full price and delivered it knowing fully well it wouldn’t fit correctly?
Then she suggested I return it and swap for their new print. But if I wanted the new print, wouldn’t I have ordered that in the first place? I specifically paid for the exact print I wanted.

Till now, I honestly haven’t replied because I’m still trying to process the whole thing 🥲

Today is children’s day

While many children are celebrating with gifts, and laughter, some are fighting silent battles nobody sees. Some children are suffering silently.
Some are abandoned, hungry, scared and exposed to pain no child should ever experience 🥺
While many celebrate, let us also remember the innocent children fighting battles they never chose.
Every child deserves warmth.
Every child deserves protection.
Every child deserves to be loved ❤️
