Iran has reportedly offered to suspend its uranium enrichment program for up to five years in an effort to ease tensions, but the proposal was rejected by the United States. Officials say Washington pushed for a much longer halt of up to 50 years, creating a major gap between the two sides and preventing any agreement from being reached. The US President says he wants to take control of Iran’s enriched uranium, and Iran might only be allowed to enrich uranium after 50 years.

The disagreement highlights ongoing mistrust between Iran and the administration of Donald Trump, with both parties holding firm on their demands. As negotiations stall, the failure to reach a compromise raises concerns about rising tensions and the future of nuclear diplomacy in the region. The United States says Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, and after 50 years, the enriched uranium will only be for civilian purposes like scientific research and nothing related to weapons. 💱 What sounded like conspiracy theory now has hard numbers. In 2010, less than 1% of China's international payments were made in yuan. By March 2023, the yuan surpassed the dollar for the first time. By March 2024, 52.9% of Chinese cross-border transactions were settled in their own currency. The dollar dropped to 42.8%. The trend hasn't stopped.

🛢️ The Iran war accelerated everything. When Iran shut down the Strait of Hormuz, it made an exception for tankers willing to sell crude in yuan, not dollars. An Iranian official confirmed it to CNN in March: if you want to cross the Strait, you pay in China's currency. A direct challenge to the heart of the US financial system, where 80% of global oil trade was settled in dollars.

📲 On January 1, 2026, China quietly activated interest payments on the digital yuan. No emergency summit, no dramatic announcement. They simply switched on the system they'd been building for years as an alternative to SWIFT, the mechanism the West used to disconnect Russia in 2022.

📈 The yuan has strengthened 7% against the dollar over the past 12 months and trades at 6.82 per dollar, its highest since March 2023. Meanwhile, leaders from Spain, Vietnam, the UK, Canada and the UAE are traveling to Beijing to sign trade deals.

🌍 Iran accepts yuan. Russia settles 90% of its crude with China and India. Saudi Arabia already trades in yuan. BRICS is pushing. The dollar won't vanish tomorrow. But the world has already started building the pipes to stop depending on it.

A Kurdish reporter who secretly documented images from within underground tunnel networks has revealed significant casualties among Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps personnel.

Ghana police arrest woman caught assaulting man in viral video

The Ghana Police Service has arrested a woman seen in a viral video physically assaulting a man.

The arrest was carried out by the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team on Wednesday, November 27, 2025.

The suspect, Esther Nana Afia Sarfowaa, was apprehended at Subriso in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

A second suspect, Stephen Ofori, was also arrested at Nkawie in connection with the incident.

Police say three other individuals linked to the assault remain at large, and efforts are ongoing to bring them into custody.
