Feature film "Grandson"
Date and time: April 30, 2025, 6:00 pm.
Venue: the UAE, Dubai, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Dubai, Knowledge Village, Block 19, the 3rd floor, Lecture Hall 1.
On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, a special presentation of the Russian patriotic film "Grandson", which has won various international film awards, will be held in Dubai. The event is organized by KSORS in the UAE with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the UAE and the Consulate General of Russia in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and is aimed at preserving historical memory and strengthening cultural ties between Russia and the UAE.
The venue for the event was kindly provided by the branch of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Dubai.
About the film "Grandson":
"Grandson" is a poignant drama about the connection between generations, heroism and the memory of the Great Patriotic War. The film received recognition at international film festivals, and was awarded for directing, screenplay and acting.
The plot:
Yura learns that his grandfather is in the hospital because he saw his enemy from the Great Patriotic War in a report from Latvia about a parade in honor of the SS. Now the hero does not doubt for a minute that it is he who must restore justice and arrange a meeting between his grandfather and SS-Sturmführer Unter Alfred Weber. To do this, he has to move from words to deeds...

1.В преддверии 80-летия Великой Победы в Дубае пройдет специальный показ российского патриотического фильма «Внук», удостоенного международных кинонаград. Мероприятие организовано КСОРС в ОАЭ при поддержке Посольства РФ в ОАЭ и Генерального консульства России в Дубае и северных эмиратах и направлено на сохранение исторической памяти и укрепление культурных связей между Россией и ОАЭ.
Площадку для проведения мероприятия любезно предоставил филиал РЭУ им.Г.В.Плеханова в Дубае.
О фильме «Внук»:
«Внук» – это пронзительная драма, рассказывающая о связи поколений, героизме и памяти о Великой Отечественной войне. Фильм получил признание на международных кинофестивалях, отмечен наградами за режиссуру, сценарий и актерскую игру.
Сюжет:
Юра узнаёт, что его дедушка в больнице из-за того, что увидел своего врага времён Великой Отечественной войны в репортаже из Латвии о параде в честь СС. Теперь герой ни на минуту не сомневается, что именно он должен восстановить справедливость и устроить встречу деда с унтером штурмфюрером СС Альфредом Вебером. Для этого ему приходится перейти от слов к делу...
