By the time most drivers reach Downtown Dubai this Eid weekend, thousands will already be stepping out of the Dubai Metro straight into Dubai Mall. Dubai’s RTA is preparing for one of the busiest holiday rushes of the year with extended Metro hours, park-and-ride stations, and smart travel advisories designed to keep the city moving smoothly. From Centrepoint to Jumeirah Golf Estates, commuters are being urged to rethink the usual Eid traffic routine before the crowds peak.

A country’s growth is often measured by skylines, infrastructure, and economic numbers. But this Eid, the UAE is placing the spotlight somewhere else on the workforce behind that progress.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation is rolling out 30 Eid celebrations across the country, bringing together sports, entertainment, cultural performances, and social activities for workers during the holiday period. The initiative highlights how worker happiness, labour welfare, and social inclusion are becoming central to the UAE’s long-term development vision.

Beyond the celebrations, the story also reflects broader efforts around workplace wellbeing, labour protection, and community engagement across the UAE.

One loud exhaust can now cost more than attention on Dubai’s roads. Dubai Police have introduced AI-powered noise radars designed to detect excessive vehicle noise, modified exhaust systems, and blaring music across the city.

The new system reflects Dubai’s growing focus on smarter mobility, road safety, and urban comfort where technology is not just monitoring speed, but the overall driving experience. Drivers crossing the legal noise limit could face AED 2,000 fines and 12 black points. A quiet reminder that in Dubai, smart driving matters as much as fast driving.

A quiet stretch of desert is about to become one of Dubai’s most ambitious tourism escapes. With a 2.5 million sq ft lake, elevated cycling trails, caravan camping zones, and open-air entertainment spaces, Al Layan Oasis is reshaping how the city connects luxury, sustainability, and nature.

Announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dh4 billion project is part of Dubai’s long-term vision to create experiences that go beyond skyscrapers and shopping districts. Located near Al Marmoom, the oasis is expected to welcome over 330,000 visitors every year while preserving the desert’s natural identity.

Behind every major travel season is an operation most passengers never fully see. As Hajj 2026 approaches, Dubai Airports is preparing to manage the movement of more than 3,600 pilgrims through coordinated efforts involving airlines, health authorities, customs, emergency services, and guest experience teams. Dedicated check-in counters, prayer facilities, multilingual support, and separate Zamzam baggage arrangements reflect how large-scale aviation logistics and cultural sensitivity are being handled side by side in one of the region’s busiest travel periods.

A single Dh127.5 million deal is putting Ras Al Khaimah’s luxury property market in the global spotlight. What was once seen as a quiet coastal escape is now becoming one of the UAE’s fastest-growing destinations for ultra-luxury beachfront living.

With nearly 200 residences already sold, Mondrian Al Marjan Island Beach Residences is attracting international investors looking beyond Dubai for exclusivity, waterfront views, and long-term value. The growing buzz around Al Marjan Island, combined with the arrival of major hospitality developments, is quietly reshaping the future of luxury real estate in the region. Written by Ameena Amin

For a few weeks, uncertainty slowed the pace of Dubai’s property market. Then April arrived with a clear message. Investors didn’t disappear they repositioned.

Dubai recorded AED68.6 billion in real estate transactions in April 2026, with off-plan projects leading the momentum and luxury properties crossing new records. From Palm Jebel Ali to Dubai South, the market is revealing where confidence is actually growing, and why developers are shaping the next phase of the city’s expansion.

The numbers tell one story. The shift in buyer behavior tells another.

Heart disease often becomes visible only when it’s already critical. In Abu Dhabi’s Mohamed bin Zayed City, the ‘Zayed Giving Caravans’ are working to change that reality through AI-powered mobile clinics designed for early cardiac detection and community healthcare access. Led by volunteer doctors and supported by advanced screening technologies, the initiative reflects how the UAE is combining medical innovation with public service to make preventive healthcare more accessible across all emirates.

A doctor flying into Dubai for a few days of consultations once sounded impossible. Now, it’s becoming part of the city’s healthcare reality.

Inside Dubai Healthcare City, C37 is changing how specialist care reaches patients by allowing global and UAE-based doctors to consult without opening permanent clinics. From second opinions to highly specialised treatments, the model is quietly reshaping healthcare access across the region. Dr Mohamed Elbaz says the shift is about making expert care easier to reach while keeping the system regulated, efficient, and patient-focused.
