Let us remember that Parliament is a place governed by rules and order, and any issue should be handled through proper institutional channels, not social media pressure. Sierra Leone deserves leadership that is both respectful and focused on national progress.

When a nation grows tired of stagnation, the loudest voices often call for complete change. That’s understandable. Many Sierra Leoneans feel disappointed by leaders who have failed to deliver, and the frustration is real. But in our search for progress, we must be careful not to replace every leader simply because they’ve been there too long.

Not every old MP is ineffective. Some have delivered, stayed close to their people, and pushed meaningful development. The idea of removing all current Parliamentarians in 2028, regardless of their record, may sound bold but is it wise?

Real transformation comes from electing people based on merit, not just emotion. Let’s demand performance, accountability, and fresh energy but let’s also value experience and proven leadership. Change should be strategic, not sweeping. Sierra Leone deserves better, not just different.

Let’s talk about perspective.

This is Hawa Hunt . Some might see this photo and rush to judge “Why is she dressed like this?” But let’s take a moment to reflect deeper.

In many parts of the world Europe, America, and beyond dressing like this at a pool or beach is completely normal. It’s part of the culture, comfort, and confidence people have in their bodies. But in Africa, especially in places like Sierra Leone, the same outfit might draw criticism, not because it's wrong, but because of cultural expectations and limited exposure.

The truth is: confidence and identity have no borders.

Hawa is a representation of someone who is bold, self-aware, and comfortable in her skin. She’s not hurting anyone she’s simply expressing herself like millions of other women across the globe do every day.

Instead of judging, let’s start embracing people for who they are. Let’s grow in understanding, learn from each other, and create space for different forms of expression respectfully.

Confidence is not a crime. Self-love is not shameful.

I came across a post today that really says a lot without saying much:
"A Degree holder 😎 Janneh Baby join Reporter."

It’s a perfect reminder of the world we live in today. Having a degree is valuable, yes but in this era, it’s your skills that keep you relevant, employable, and empowered. A degree might open a door, but skills will keep you in the room.

Even those with formal education are now turning to hands-on skills, media work, content creation, and entrepreneurship because the job market no longer guarantees success based on certificates alone.

To every young person out there:
Don’t just chase the paper chase *value*. Learn something that can solve problems, serve people, or earn income independently.

The future belongs to those who are skilled, not just schooled.
