We live in a broken world filled with fragmented lives. Sin has battered and bruised us to the point of spiritual death. We may or may not feel the weight of damage done by our deeds. Some seem carefree and unconscious to the hurt of their sins. Symptoms of a dead spirit may remain hidden under pampered indulgent ways. They live a comfortable path to death. God is rewriting your story. Your heart is going to be restored, repaired, and replenished. Your wasted years will be given back to you. This heartache and pain you are going through right now, is part of His plan. This pain has a purpose. God values your emotion and He sees right through you. But the grief is different—it is permeated with hope. “We would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8).
