This week’s is one of our founder Dennis’ persona favorites. Shot with a telephoto lens in the midst of a hazy desert sunrise, it creates a feeling of isolation in the presence of sheer natural beauty.

THIS WEEK’S SHOT OF THE WEEK!!
Shot for a Vans project. Plastic wrap was stretched over the lens to create texture and distortion, with a wide lens capturing the full artwork. The subject finishes by tagging directly onto the lens, creating a bold POV ending that leads into the final logo reveal.

THIS WEEK’S SHOT OF THE WEEK!!
Shot from Love Wars. A wide frame with six figures placed behind the subject, all lit from above to keep their faces hidden and create strong silhouettes. Top-down lighting across the scene adds depth while selectively revealing details, keeping the focus on the subject while maintaining a dark, minimal aesthetic.

THIS WEEK’S SHOT OF THE WEEK!!
Inspired by The Weeknd’s “Moth to a Flame,” the subject is positioned 45° up and away, speaking into the blacked-out background. Gradient lighting highlights her lower face, while a subtle strobe gradually reveals her figure, blending portrait and profile aesthetics.

THIS WEEK’S SHOT OF THE WEEK!!

Shot from I Dare You. A tungsten light was hung outside and shot through a window with a curtain to create textured light patterns across the space. Practical lighting added depth, allowing us to silhouette the subject and lean into rich blacks and a warm, cinematic tone inspired by classic lighting techniques.

CAPTION: THIS WEEK’S SHOT OF THE WEEK!!

Shot from I Dare You, directed by Saif. To move away from the typical Dubai aesthetic, we created a custom rain rig using a hose over a C-stand to simulate rainfall. The scene was lit both inside and outside the car to maintain detail on the main character. Shot on a 50mm lens, allowing us to stay close while still capturing depth through the rain, reflections, and movement of the wipers - reflecting the cloudiness of his emotions at that point.

THIS WEEK’S SHOT OF THE WEEK!
Shot in HyperJump’s early days, this concept plays on perspective - the client watching themselves. Starting with a clean, corporate setup, we break out with a whip pan into handheld, capturing real reactions to emphasise the impact and energy of the final result.

THIS WEEK’S SHOT OF THE WEEK!👇
Comedy TVC with Nader Baker for Hala Insurance - A real Lamborghini on set. Shot on a tight 75mm with a fast 6m track pullback to create separation while keeping movement minimal and scaling the car in frame. Bounce used to manage harsh sunlight; full silk wasn’t possible without losing the floor, so it became a balance of texture & environment. Simple composition with a touch of CGI.

THIS WEEK’S SHOT OF THE WEEK!
Low-angle fashion shot built around strong composition and layering; a frame within a frame. Shot with intentional obstructions to add depth, capturing a powerful, minimal performance. Constant touch-ups between takes due to heat, but worth it for the final look.
