🇦🇪 The UAE is strengthening its eastern coastline with an ambitious plan to expand port and logistics infrastructure around Dibba, Fujairah and Khor Fakkan — all located on the Gulf of Oman side, outside the Strait of Hormuz. (The National)

The strategy includes new pipelines, rail and road networks connecting eastern ports with the UAE’s oilfields, gasfields and petroleum facilities. The existing Habshan–Fujairah crude oil pipeline has a capacity of around 1.5 million barrels per day, and ADNOC is accelerating a second pipeline project designed to double crude export capacity through Fujairah. The UAE’s stated long-term objective is to move towards “zero” dependence on the Strait of Hormuz by strengthening alternative trade and energy export routes. (The National)

Indian passport holders can now travel to the UAE without applying for a visa in advance.

That means you don’t need to obtain a UAE visa before your journey.

And I’m not sharing old news. This is based on the official ICP website.

The UAE has expanded the eligibility by adding six new countries of residence.

So, what eligibility criteria must Indian passport holders meet to travel to the UAE without applying for a visa in advance?

I’ll explain.

So, what are the eligibility criteria?

Criteria number one: Your Indian passport must be valid for at least six months.

Criteria number two: You must hold a valid residency permit or visa from any one of the following countries:

The United States, the United Kingdom, any European Union member country, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, or Singapore.

If you hold a valid residency permit from any of these countries, you can travel to the UAE without applying for a visa in advance.

Once you arrive in the UAE:

* If you plan to stay for up to 14 days, the visa-on-arrival fee is AED 100.
* If you wish to stay for up to 60 days, the single-entry visa-on-arrival fee is AED 250 (subject to eligibility under UAE regulations).

If you overstay your permitted period, the overstay fine is AED 50 per day.

Often described on social media as one of the world’s most beautiful cafés, this is Vietnam’s famous Oasis Café.

Vietnam is easy to explore on a budget, and the Indian rupee converts into a large amount of Vietnamese currency:

Here’s how I reached Oasis Café in Ho Chi Minh City:

✈️ Applied for a Vietnam e-Visa through the official website for $25
⏳ Received the visa within 3 days
🎫 Found affordable flights through Skyscanner
📶 Purchased a local SIM with unlimited data for around $12
🚕 Took a Grab taxi from the airport—around ₹287 for a 30-minute journey

And finally, I reached Oasis Café ☕🌿

It looks simple from the outside, but the moment you enter, it feels like a completely different world. The café features beautiful water elements, fish ponds, unique seating areas, and multiple floors offering different views and atmospheres.

Even the washroom has a surprisingly creative design! 😄

The prices are reasonable too. Coffee for three people cost us just 184,000 Vietnamese D**g—approximately ₹667.

If you’re visiting Ho Chi Minh City, Oasis Café is definitely worth adding to your itinerary.
