Interest per annum lang ang kukunan ng 20% tax, not your actual savings.
Example
Your Savings: 500,000
Bank gives you interest in a year: ₱312.50
Tax:
• 20% of ₱312.50 = ₱62.50 tax
• You’ll receive only ₱250 net interest

Just the interest ang mabawasan.
Your 500,000 savings will still be there, walang labis walang kulang.

(This is just to clarify to those who think na 20% of their total savings ang ma babawasan)
