Travelling is a great way to rejuvenate our souls. It helps us create lasting memories that we can cherish for a lifetime. Along with capturing beautiful pictures, we also capture vivid memories that stay with us forever.
Let’s sum it up.
Singapore, Traveling alone.
I took a short trip to Singapore before heading back to Manila. It was my first time travelling solo, and I booked my flight and hotel at a minimal cost. There was a 4-day multi-trip which cost the same as a direct flight to Manila, so I decided to pass by for a few days. I didn't anticipate that I would have to carry my luggage with me as only a 24-hour layover was allowed to keep baggage with the airline. Otherwise, I could keep it in a storage area, which was a bit pricey.
I booked The Snooze Hotel, which was simple but comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and they also guided me on the best places to visit and how to get there. The best thing about my hotel was that there were nearby restaurants, pubs, and convenience stores. At first, I was worried about adjusting to the locals, but to be honest, Singaporeans were very helpful and friendly.
Transportation in Singapore is very convenient with bus, train and cab services available. During my stay, I did not encounter any issues while commuting. There are numerous beautiful places to explore in Singapore, however, four days were not enough for me to see them all. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my stay as it was a new experience for me. If you plan on visiting, I would advise you to wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking to do. The weather in Singapore is unpredictable, it can be sunny one moment and rainy the next. So, it's always a good idea to carry an umbrella. Lastly, Singapore Airport is an amazing destination worth checking out. as so amazing.
I've come to realise that travelling outside of our comfort zone and trying new things is always a good idea. It led me to rediscover myself and realise that travelling solo isn't so bad after all. It's comforting to know that I'm capable of being a solo traveller, but of course, it's still amazing to have a companion along for the journey.
