More than a dozen Australians 🇦🇺 have been charged with offences related to the abuse of children in the Philippines amid an international effort to crack down on the horrific crimes

Police say Australians are "major offenders" in the Filipino child abuse trade due to similar time zones and direct flights, as shocking stats revealed the scale of the problem.

The shock revelations come after 35 joint investigations between the Australian Federal Police and the Philippine Internet Crimes Against Children Centre (PICACC).

The operations resulted in 92 victims removed from harm and the arrest of 18 alleged facilitators of child abuse in the Philippines.

More than a dozen Australians have been charged over Philippines-based child abuse offences in 2025, as police revealed that 92 victims were rescued during the year.

Epstein files live: The US president has been named in the latest tranche of documents and images released

A newly released Epstein document includes a letter that Jeffrey wrote to fellow s*x offender Larry Nassar, alleging that Donald Trump “shares [their] love of young nubile girls.”

Trump: Everybody was friendly with Epstein:
President Trump reacted to the first tranche of files on Monday by claiming he only befriended because Epstein “was all over Palm Beach”.

“A lot of people are very angry that pictures are being released of other people that really had nothing to do with Epstein,” Trump told reporters at Mar-a-Lago. “But they’re in a picture with him because he was at a party, and you ruined a reputation of somebody.

“They give you their photos of me too. Everybody was friendly with this guy, either friendly or not friendly, but he was around. He was all over Palm Beach. But you probably have pictures of other people being exposed that innocently met Jeffrey Epstein years ago, many years ago.”

Trump also said he “hated” to see pictures of Bill Clinton in the files. Clinton and Trump have denied any wrongdoing.

Toronto police seek public’s help locating missing 13-year-old girl

Toronto police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old girl last seen in Scarborough.

Bareerah was last seen on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at approximately 1 a.m., in the area of McCowan Road and Sheppard Avenue East.

She is described as five feet two inches tall with a thin build, short black hair and brown eyes. Police say she was last seen wearing a black abaya and a niqab. She may also have been wearing a thin black spring jacket, black track pants and blue Under Armour shoes with white soles.

Police say they are concerned for her safety.

Anyone with information on Bareerah’s whereabouts is urged to contact Toronto police.

🇯🇵🇲🇹🐈 Okamura Satoshi, a 31-year-old Japanese national, has been handed down a 2-year sentence after admitting to kil.ling several cats in Tas-Sliema.

He was also fined €15,000, and he was prohibited by the Court from keeping animals for 40 years. During the last sitting, Satoshi was quoted as saying, among other issues, that cats were “gold diggers”.

The prosecution requested that for the various attacks he committed within a few weeks, Satoshi be given an effective prison sentence and that he should be deported after serving his prison sentence. On the contrary, Satoshi’s defence said that in order for the accused to reform himself, he should not be sent to prison but that he needs help to address his mental state.

Also present in the courtroom were a number of animal rights activists.

A man in North Carolina is facing nearly a dozen charges including statutory r***e and in**st after deputies responded to an alleged child abduction.

Just before 10 p.m. on Aug, 23, Polk County Emergency Communications received a 911 call for a kidnapping/abduction at the Polk County Recreation Complex on Wolverine Trail in Mill Spring.

Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office responded and were on scene within five minutes, finding the victim and the suspect.

The suspect, 40-year-old Jacob Earl Norwood of Mill Spring, was arrested. He was initially charged with ind*cent liberties with a child and had a bond set at $20,000.

According to police, Yusuke Takagi, who worked at Gifu Municipal Hospital, is accused of groping the woman's breasts at around 10:15 p.m. on July 21 while he was making his rounds.

80 Japanese police officers travel to Cambodia and return with 29 nationals subject to warrants for attempted fraud. The 28 men and 1 woman were detained after a raid on Jinhe Park in Poipet in May.

The suspects range in age from their teens to their 50s. Three are male teenagers and one is a woman, according to investigative sources.

In late May, Cambodian authorities arrested the suspects on suspicion of making fraudulent phone calls from a base in Poipet and impersonating police officers.

They were apparently targeting residents in Japan’s Kanto region.

Aichi prefectural police on Aug. 20 arrested 29 Japanese nationals on suspicion of attempting to defraud victims in Japan from a base located in northwestern Cambodia, investigative sources said.
