When the world hesitates, courage shows up anyway.

Seeing the Pope visit Bamenda in the midst of the Anglophone crisis that began in 2016 is deeply moving.

It’s a powerful reminder that hope can still find its way into places many now struggle to return to, even those of us born and raised in the Northwest, especially Bamenda.

This visit speaks of compassion, solidarity, and the courage to stand with people in difficult times.

It reminds us that Bamenda is more than a place marked by crisis, it is home, identity, and resilience.

I hold on to the hope that one day, Bamenda will be whole again. 😢

UAE 🇦🇪 is among the best places I have visited so far for so many reasons…

Today, the iconic (the building in the photo) is temporarily closed for 18 months for a major transformation.

Often described as the world’s most luxurious hotel, this architectural masterpiece has always stood as a symbol of innovation, ambition, and excellence in Dubai.

From its sail-shaped design rising above the Arabian Gulf to its ultra-luxurious suites and gold-accented interiors, every detail tells a story of bold vision.

Some stories you may have heard:
1. Built on an artificial island, connected by a private bridge

2. Known for its “7-star” reputation (even though officially 5-star)

3. Features one of the most luxurious hotel experiences in the world

4. A global icon representing Dubai’s rapid transformation

Now, as it undergoes this major upgrade, it’s exciting to imagine what the next chapter will look like.
