Sky Media Service is a youth media house that has been operating under the platform of a Non-Governmental Organization known as Youth Network Centre Nigeria (YNC Nigeria). Sky Media Service is registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria with registration number RC361175 and BN2328015 as an affiliate to Sky Radio and operates as both a radio station an

OBJECTIVES:
• To promote quality standard information about the youth lifestyle and education among vulnerable groups most especially the in-school youth and out of school youth.
• To create a platform for interaction among youths, youth serving organizations and development stakeholders.
• To create visibility for the best of Nigeria’s youth initiatives and provide linkages to services and resources that enhances the wellbeing of young people. GOALS:

Youth lifestyle and Education
Youth lifestyle: the youth lifestyle in a changing world is an accessible examination of the changing nature of young people’s lives at the start of a new century. Arguing that the ‘sociology of youth’ has struggled to bridge the gap between ‘structural’ and ‘cultural’ conceptions of youth, this part of the Sky Radio emphasizes the notion of lifestyles as an enlightening means of addressing young people’s relationship with social change. Against a social and cultural backdrop characterized by postmodern fragmentation, risk and globalization, young people are apparently finding individualized ‘transition’ into adulthood increasingly difficult and this area of Sky Radio shows how lifestyles play an important role. It considers key aspect of young people’s lifestyles such as their relationship to rave, the media and consumption in general, as means of constructing identities. Education: Education is a fundamental to development. The young people’s mind makes possible all development achievements, from skills acquisition to other innovations to efficient public administration and private sector growth. For countries to reap these benefits fully, they need to unleash the potential of the young people’s mind. And there is no better tool for doing so than education. SLOGAN:
