Apple’s first-ever foldable iPhone Duo launches in the UAE on October 23, 2026 starting at Dh8,499.

Pre-orders open October 16, with the phone featuring a 7.6-inch inner display that opens up to an iPad-like multitasking experience, while folding down to a pocket-sized 5.4-inch display (approximately the size of a passport). Two colours are available: star white and night sky.

Apple says the opened device is also the thinnest iPhone ever.
The phone is built from grade 5 titanium and features Ceramic Shield 2 on the front. It also carries an IP68 rating for splash, water and dust resistance. The iPhone Duo has a dual 48MP Fusion camera system, including a 48MP Fusion Main camera and 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera, along with optical-quality 2x Telephoto capability.

- UAE joins Norway in saying goodbye to a king remembered for his humanity.

The UAE joined world leaders in Oslo on September 9, 2026 at the funeral of King Harald V, with Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak representing President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.

King Harald, who died aged 89 after 35 years on the throne, was remembered as a popular and approachable monarch who guided Norway through moments of national crisis. His son, King Haakon VIII, now begins a new chapter for the Norwegian monarchy.
