Instagram is testing yet another new feature and yes, you guessed it... it's a feature made popular on another social media platform.

BeReal is a "NEW" app on the market that hit 10 million daily users last month... it's basically the "anti-Instagram" as it encourages users to post unfiltered, real-life photos.

Users who participate in the Candid Challenge will be sent a notification (at a random time of day) prompting them to share a candid photo which will then appear on their Insta stories.

We might be witnessing the beginning of the end for picture-perfect feeds!

When you communicate your purpose before speaking about your services, you distinguish yourself from your competitors and appeal to people. The details of what you do will not resonate with people the way that the meaning behind it will.

How to truly connect with customers & clients:

• Align with their purpose

Choose clients that share your values. The most authentic businesses have similar ideals as their consumer base. When you align with your clients, they will become your brand ambassadors.
True alignment leads to true loyalty.

• Purpose means transparency

Clarity and fulfillment go together. With a mutual understanding of your shared purpose, you can be fully transparent and openly communicate with your clients. Additionally, clients will likely be more forgiving when you’re honest and in alignment with them.

It sounds daunting as ever but a social media plan can help keep you sane.

Common problems I encounter with clients:

- Having no clue what to post
- Having no time to create content regularly
- Having no creativity

Setting aside time to plan out your social media can be overwhelming so here's a guide to help minimise stress and maximise results.

1 : Choose the right platform for you
The good news is that you don't need to be on ALL platforms. Establish which platforms your target audience is most engaged on. Knowing who your audience is and where they’re spending most of their time is essential to your plan.

2 : Choose the right social handles
Your username should be short and easy to spell so your audience can remember it. If possible, it's best to have same handles across all your platforms.

3 : Create goals for each platform
You may want to achieve different outcomes on each platform so creating goals will help track your progress and post in line with achieving your goals.

4 : Determine your brand style and tone
It's important to maintain brand consistency across all channels of marketing. Even when tailoring your content to each platform, the vibe of your message should align with your brand.

5 : Create a content calendar
A successful content calendar can help you stay on track with all your platforms, meet your marketing goals, and increase your audience growth.
