BREAKING NEWS:

The Ebonyi State Police Command has arrested Bishop Ndibueze Okorie Onyagoziri, the General Overseer of Champion the Truth Cathedral, for allegedly sexually exploiting a 22-year-old female sickle cell patient.

According to police reports, the cleric allegedly took advantage of the young woman under the false pretense of performing a spiritual exercise that would change her genotype from SS to AA.

The victim, whose identity has been withheld for security reasons, was reportedly deceived into multiple acts of sexual abuse by the suspect, who claimed the process was part of a divine healing ritual.

Confirming the arrest, the Ebonyi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) stated that the bishop is currently in custody and that an investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of his alleged crimes and whether other victims may be involved.

This is the third time Governor Alex Otti has invited him, yet he refuses to come.

1️⃣ March 2024 – invited to commission Aba Power and new roads. The President didn’t come; he sent his deputy, Kashim Shettima.

2️⃣ May 23, 2025 – invited to commission Port Harcourt Road and flag off the $1.3 billion Abia Medical City. Again, he didn’t show.

3️⃣ Today, October 3, 2025 – everything was ready: flag-off of the $1.3 billion Abia Medical City, commissioning of 13 roads, and the rebuilt Michael Ọkpara Auditorium. Yet again, the President did not show. Shockingly, he didn’t even inform the governor; Minister of Works, Engineer Dave Umahi, represented him.

Does this mean he is campaigning against the best governor in Nigeria? Or is he avoiding discussions about Nnamdi Kanu? Whatever the reason, one thing is clear: Ndi Abia and Ndígbo love Dr. Alex Otti, and he will be re-elected in 2027.

Even without a presidential visit, the people of Abia see and appreciate the transformation happening in their state. 💪

After our meeting with the Lagos State Government and the leadership of the Trade Fair Market, coupled with our personal inspection of the affected areas, I want to assure you that the challenges arising from the demolition are not beyond solution.

📌 Owerri Markets Closed for President Tinubu’s Visit
