Tchiikago Thrift & Boutique is Oman’s first women-owned in-person thrift store, opening in August 2026.
Inspired by the thrift culture from the US, nadz ♡ aspires to bring a fresh perspective to fashion in Oman.🇴🇲
Second-hand does not mean old or worn out. Every item is carefully selected to ensure quality while still preserving the excitement of discovering unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. These are the extra steps that sustainability demands.
Tchiikago Thrift & Boutique was founded by nadz ♡, who is also the founder of OMANI ARCHIVE 🇴🇲, a platform for the local youth of Oman to share their work. In partnership with Dollies, an independent brand by Tasneem Al Balushi, which specializes in giving existing garments a second life through painting, reconstruction, and upcycling. Adding another creative layer to the store by showing how fashion can be reimagined rather than discarded.
A sustainable approach to fashion, Tchiikago exists to:
* Reduce textile waste and keep clothing out of landfills.
* Promote a circular economy by extending the life of garments.
* Make sustainable fashion more accessible and affordable.
* Encourage young people to rethink consumption and see value in buying, trading, repairing, and reusing clothing instead of constantly buying new.
* Build a community around creativity, sustainability, and self-expression.
The overall message is that Tchiikago Thrift & Boutique isn’t just a thrift store, it’s a new way of thinking about fashion in Oman, where clothing is given multiple lives, creativity is celebrated, and sustainability becomes part of everyday culture.
