🚆🇦🇪 September 30, 2026 — Another Major Milestone for Etihad Rail!

The UAE’s passenger rail journey is entering its next big phase.

From September 30, 2026, Etihad Rail will expand passenger operations with the opening of:

📍 Dubai Station
📍 Al Dhaid Station

The date also marks the official launch phase of the UAE passenger rail network, following the introductory Abu Dhabi–Fujairah service that began on June 30.

🚆 The network is being rolled out progressively, with Zayed City and Liwa scheduled for November 30, other Al Dhafra stations on December 30, and Sharjah Station on March 30, 2027.

Etihad Rail says the passenger network is designed to make travel between emirates more convenient, reliable and connected for work, family and leisure.

🦅🇶🇦 Qatar’s falconry heritage took centre stage at the 2026 World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan.

The Qatar Al Gannas Association participated in the sixth edition of the Games in Bishkek, presenting a pavilion featuring photographs of its work, including the Falcons Reintroduction Campaign and the Qatar Falcon Genome Project.

The pavilion introduced international visitors to Qatar’s falconry heritage and the association’s efforts to preserve and promote the tradition. Al Gannas also supported competitions in falconry, Saluki racing and drawing.

The sixth World Nomad Games brought together thousands of participants and featured traditional sports and cultural activities representing nomadic heritage from around the world.
