Yesterday, our Head of Digital Learning, Isaac Tabor, attended the first community session of the AI Education Forum in Dubai — a growing network of AI leaders dedicated to advancing AI education across the GCC region.
The session featured the presentation of a market employability skills report and a roundtable discussion among ten teams, highlighting key priorities for AI education and workforce readiness:
• Integrating AI curriculum elements in both K–12 and higher education, focusing on teaching the use of AI rather than only enabling it.
• Addressing data privacy and ethical AI practices, including the importance of developing organisational policies and closed LLMs.
• Recognising emerging AI leadership roles, such as Chief AI Officers, and the need to define their skill sets and responsibilities.
This initiative marks an important step in shaping a community-driven approach to AI readiness and responsible innovation in education across the region.
💫Many thanks to Eugene and Svetlana for the invitation and for bringing together such a thoughtful discussion.
