A golden first for Saudi women in sport. 🇸🇦🎮

On October 27 in Bahrain, Tala Al Mazroa made history at the 3rd Asian Youth Games (.bh), winning eFootball gold after a commanding 3-0 victory over Thailand, and becoming the first Saudi woman ever to top the Asian Games podium.

Her win marks a major step forward for Saudi esports and women’s sport under Vision 2030.

Ranalina Alim (.freedive) has made history. 🌊

At the 2025 Freediving World Cup in Sharm El-Sheikh () from Oct 15 -22, the Egyptian freediver and master instructor delivered a remarkable performance, earning two bronze medals and breaking two national records: 71m in Constant Weight Monofin and 67m in Constant Weight Bifins. All achieved in just two days.

With these dives, Alim also became the deepest Arab woman and now ranks as the third deepest in Africa in both CWT and CWTB. Earlier this season, at the World Championship in Mytikas, Greece, where she placed sixth, she also secured the same ranking in CNF, making her one of the most accomplished Arab freedivers across all three disciplines.

Behind these numbers are years of precision, discipline, and a deep connection to the sport. Alim trains with coach Boris Spajic () and equalization coach Seif Ossama (), who also had a standout performance at the same event — achieving an 80-meter Free Immersion dive, making him the second deepest male athlete in Egypt. Alim credits her strength to the unwavering support of her family, friends, and her dog, Zoe.

When she’s not competing, Alim shares her knowledge as a master instructor, leading workshops especially for the CNF discipline as its taught her mental resilience, body awareness and harmony with the sea and having a feeling for the water.

Ashwaq Alsaieri () has made history after finishing the Chicago Marathon on October 12, becoming the first Saudi and GCC woman to complete all seven Abbott World Marathon Majors - Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York, and Sydney, earning the coveted Seven Stars Medal.

Just a month earlier, she crossed the finish line at the Sydney Marathon, becoming the first Saudi woman to complete six World Marathon Majors, before going one star further in Chicago.

A milestone that’s part endurance, part inspiration, and all heart.

Triple Gold for UAE’s Amenah Al Muhairi () 🏂🇦🇪

The young snowboarder, who made history as the first Emirati to represent the UAE in the sport - and the first Emirati female athlete at the Youth Winter Olympic Games - delivered a dominant performance at the inaugural FIS Asian Cup, taking first place in all three of her events: two days of Slopestyle (Oct 17–18) and the Rail Jam (Oct 19).

Held at Ski Dubai, the competition was organised in collaboration with the UAE Winter Sports Federation (), the International Ski Federation (FIS), and the Dubai Sports Council ().

With over 230 athletes from 15+ countries competing across eight FIS-level Park & Pipe and Alpine events, the week marked a standout moment for freestyle snow sports in the region, and for Amenah on home snow.

The day Reem Al Harthy (.reem) became the first Omani woman to complete a full-distance Ironman. 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

On October 5, Reem crossed the Ironman Calella - Barcelona finish line in 11 hours and 40 minutes after a 3.8km swim, 180km ride, and 42.2km run.

Out of 3,200 participants, only 2,430 finished, including just 333 women. Reem now joins the 0.01% of people worldwide to complete the ultimate test of endurance. 💪

At just 15, she became the first athlete representing the UAE to qualify for the 2026 ISU World Junior Championships in Estonia after hitting the technical minimum score at the ISU Junior Grand Prix () at Zayed Sports City () for her free skating performance.

A powerful partnership with purpose 💖

Keeping in line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, AlUla Club (, ) has joined forces with Zahra Association () in a first-of-its-kind collaboration between a sports club and the association.

Together, they are supporting the annual national campaign in October for early breast cancer detection, which encourages women across Saudi Arabia to get regular screenings and raises awareness about early warning signs. As part of this partnership, the club will sponsor the annual “Zahra March”, a major community event that empowers women and promotes health awareness nationwide.
