Our Objective and purpose:
It is a non-government, non-profitable, non-political, voluntary and charitable organization regarding promoting film across the world.
It will perform its activities, to the best of its efforts, in the interest of promoting film and cultural life regardless of religion, race and nation.
The vision of Independent Film Society is Entertainment, film movement, film screening across the world.
The mission of Independent Film Society is to promote entertainment and cultural life throughout the world
ââAll the objects will be implemented after obtaining necessary permission from the Government / Concerned authority/ competent authority before implementation of the objects and the objects contrary to the provision of Section 21 of the Act shall be treated as ineffectiveââ.
* To take initiatives for peopleâs awareness about language movement, history of
independence and cultural life of Bangladesh
To take initiative on promoting life and culture of various countries through organizing International Film Festival.
To publish book, newspaper, journal, magazine etc.

exhibition at institutional level i.e. School, special school, college, university, club,
religious institute etc.
To promote awareness regarding film through organizing group discussion, roundtable etc
To establish library regarding film, historical relies, heritage and culture of world.
To organize seminar and symposium regarding promoting of film .
To set up an electronic media house/ channel for production, dissemination/
broadcasting of film, reality show, awareness programme, cultural event, development
issues etc.
To organize training program and workshop for promoting film industry.
To organize joint venture program such as film festival and other program to promote inter-cultural ties.
To arrange certificate courses and training program on film making etc.
To disseminate awareness in the society on various social issues such as dowry, female torture, child abuse, traffic law and other issues ect.
To motivate local community to conserve bio-diversity, natural resources, cultural diversity and promoting Bengali cultural tradition worldwide.
To arrange award giving ceremony for those young producer, director, entreprenuer are
engaged in promoting cultural tradition world wide through making photo exihibition
and films.
To distribute free books and training aids on film issue at various level of social
institution.
Celebration/observation of different religious and national international day.
Raise awareness and build public opinion for reduction of gender imbalance through ensuring overall participation for overall development.
Research and publication program on social, cultural, environmental and natural ecological issues as well as in the field of film industry.
To receive all kinds of aid, grants, donations, assistance, benefaction, subscriptions for the purpose of the Independent Film (in case of some foreign donations, grants, aid and assistance the foreign donates on (voluntary activities) regulation ordinance, 1978 (ordinance No. /1978) will be applicable), and to collect various funds and acquire and preserve assets and properties through receiving of such donations, grants, aid, assistance and benefaction.
