A father left home for work and never returned, leaving a 25 year-old mother of three stranded in their rented one room on the outskirts of Kampala City. Five months later, the family was thrown out of the house over rent arrears. With nowhere and no one to run to, Maureen Nafula, originally from neighbouring Kenya found herself in the streets with her children and this is what they have called home for a year now. We spent a day and night with them, trying to understand how they cope with the challenges faced everyday.
