Confusion kills momentum.
One of the biggest mistakes I see in client communication isn’t saying the wrong thing.
It’s leaving people unsure about what happens next.
A confused client doesn’t usually say, “I’m confused.”
They go quiet.
They delay the decision.
They ask the same question in a different way.
Or they take longer than expected to reply.
That’s why every client message should answer three simple questions:
✅ What happened?
✅ Why does it matter?
✅ What’s the next step?
If your client has to guess what you mean or what they should do next, your message isn’t finished yet.
Clear communication keeps projects moving.
Confusing communication creates unnecessary delays.
Before you hit send, read your message one more time and ask yourself:
“Would someone outside this project understand this in one read?”
If not, simplify it.
🗂️ Save this for your next client update.
