When you begin a sales call and the prospect asks for the price of your property, should you go ahead and say it?
From experience, the answer is NO.
Why? Your prospect has nothing to compare or relate the price to. That's why they will always say it's expensive.
I learnt this from Brian Tracy, "Price is seldom the reason for not buying something." It's either the prospect cannot afford it, not what he or she needs or you haven't communicated the value enough.
How then should you respond to the price question at the start of your sales call?
I said this recently as response to "How much is the property?".
"Madam prospect, the price of this property is important to you but there is something more important than the price to me, and that's you. How? If this property does not meet your needs, satisfy your desires and fit into your class of properties, then you will not take it. You're more important than the price. So, let's find out if the property fits you before we discuss the price."
She agreed and after showing her the property and the environment, she agreed it was worth the price.
If you tell me today what the bride price of getting married to a lady is, I will say it's expensive.
But if you say, "Hey, I met this girl, she is a tech sis, about 5'8, a Christian, AA, has a mother, likes corn and with an International passport, will you check her out?"
I kid you not, I will. If I find out that all you said is true, I'll be like that man Jesus said found a treasure in a field who went ahead to sell all his properties to buy that field (Pay the bride price).
Hopefully, she likes me.
PS: I'm creating a training for sales people, it will cover lead generation and selling, it will be out soon.
Cheers!
