I just finished watching Blessing CEO’s video and honestly, I felt it. She said if not for how Iyabo Ojo was treated, she would have spoken out about Phyna’s sister’s case. And she’s right.
Unfortunatelythe new reality is that every celebrity that could have come out, that could have raised their voice, has already learnt from Iyabo’s pain. Iyabo Ojo put her whole chest , business and career on the line during Mohbad’s case. She was the voice of millions of Nigerians then.
And what did Nigerians do after vdm set her up for dragging with the context of justice for moh to take personal revenge ??? They dragged her. They mocked her. They twisted her intentions. They made her the villain when all she did was fight for justice. That one act of betrayal taught the entire entertainment industry one lesson: helping Nigerians is a death sentence.
So today, when Phyna is crying, when her family is in need, don’t ask why the celebrities are quiet. They saw what happened to Iyabo. They learnt the hard way. Nobody wants to be the next scapegoat.
And let me tell you this you will never find her type again. Iyabo Ojo is one of one. The kind of courage, the kind of boldness she had, you won’t see it again in this generation. Nigerians killed that spirit themselves.
In fact, even if she dares to come out tomorrow to fight for anyone again, me myself, I will drag her. Because why? You don’t waste yourself on a country that doesn’t value you. You don’t bleed for people who will turn around and stone you.
VDM himself posted some days ago about a girl r***d by her own father. He complained no celebrity has posted it, no celebrity has spoken. But isn’t it the same VDM who destroyed the very people who would have spoken? He notices the silence, but he Is too power drunk and greedy to take accountability for creating that silence.
That’s the disaster waiting to happen. By the time Nigeria opens their eyes to what they are encouraging, it will already be too late. Too many voices silenced. Too many reputations destroyed. Too many lives broken while clout chasers cash out.
The biggest danger to all of this is VDM. He is grooming a generation of people who think destroying others is activism. People who confuse noise for justice. People who clap when someone’s reputation is burnt, as long as it entertains them.
And what do his fans do when you call out these contradictions? They don’t debate with sense. Instead, they recycle the same tired insults:
👉🏽 “Single mother” (forgetting that his own mother raised him alone).
👉🏽 “Smelling toto” (because sense don finish vulgarity replaces it).
👉🏽 “Ashewo” (That’s their idol’s autobiography, not mine).
👉🏽 “They paid you” (ironically, their idol is the one who constantly switches sides when the bag is right).
He has groomed bullies and badly behaved youths they echo the same lazy script every time. They prefer blind worship to critical thinking. giving power to a man who feeds on chaos, who thrives on destroying reputations, and who knows exactly how to keep people addicted to drama.
tomorrow, when real justice is needed, there will be nobody credible left to speak. Only chaos. Only noise. Because he has taught them that clout is louder than truth. And that is the future Nigerians are walking into.
So tomorrow, when silence becomes the norm and noise replaces justice, just remember you dragged the loudest voices into silence yourself and empowered the wrong ones.
In future Don’t ask why the industry is silent. The answer is simple: Nigeria killed its own heroes, and in exchange, embraced its own destroyer and call him messiah 💪
