According to a paper released by the government's antitrust authority COFECE, 21 Mexican banks and financial organizations are probably in charge of setting costs associated with deferred credit card payments.
The Mexican subsidiaries of HSBC, Santander, and Scotiabank are among the organizations and people allegedly implicated in the discoveries, which are detailed in a 649-page dossier. According to the paper, there is enough evidence to assume that the parties may have participated in anti-competitive behavior based on preliminary findings.
