Initially, many wondered why former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte did not resist or fight back when he was effectively placed under arrest upon his return from Hong Kong. This has bombarded many Filipinos and raised questions about why he allowed such an event to unfold without resistance.

The only logical conclusion I can draw is that he chose not to escalate the situation, out of concern for the public, particularly the ordinary Filipino. He has always been mindful of the burden that may be placed on the people because of him. This sentiment is echoed in his public statements addressed to supporters outside the ICC detention facility.

Even in detention, from what I’ve observed, his thoughts remain with the people, most especially Davao and the motherland he loved and served. His priority appears to be the well-being of the public. He seems to have accepted this chapter of his life as part of a greater journey, which he called DESTINY.

However, it must be said with caution and sincerity that if any harm were to befall FPRRD while under the custody of the ICC, God forbid, it could trigger serious national unrest. The level of support and affection many Filipinos continue to show him is deeply rooted and unprecedented in our country’s political history.

What we are witnessing now is not just a political or legal process but a defining point in our national history. How we respond to this extraordinary challenge as a nation and free Filipinos will shape our collective memory and identity for generations.

In light of all this, I dare say that now is the time to turn our frustrations and sentiments into meaningful, collective action. Let your voice be heard. Stand your ground.

Let us show the world that we stand in solidarity with the man who has given so much for our country. Your presence matters. Together, we are stronger!

119 days of silence from the man who once carried the weight of a nation.
But even in silence, his presence is loud. His legacy, louder.
And our prayers? Constant.

We continue to pray for Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for strength, for protection, for peace of mind, and for truth to finally rise above the noise.
The battle may be long, but so is our faith.
