January 12, will mark a somber milestone for the Joshua family as they reached the 11th year since their beloved Kerri-Ann mysteriously vanished without a trace.

The pain of not knowing the fate of their daughter, sister, niece, has lingered, casting a long shadow over their lives.

According to media reports, Kerri-Ann Joshua, 24 at the time, was last seen by her mother at their home in Potters Village on that fateful Saturday in 2013. She was in the company of her boyfriend, the last person known to have been with her before her disappearance.

The following day, January 13, 2013, Kerri-Ann was reported missing, and since then, there has been no sign or word from her.

The void left by Kerri-Ann's absence has been deeply felt by her family and friends.

Despite the passage of time, the lack of answers has only intensified the pain and uncertainty. The family has tirelessly sought information, collaborated with authorities, and held on to hope, but the mystery surrounding Kerri-Ann's disappearance persists.

The unanswered questions surrounding this case have fueled speculation and theories, but the truth remains elusive.

As the years pass, the anniversary of her disappearance serves as a reminder of the unresolved nature of the case. The Joshua family, like many others facing the unknown fate of a loved one, continues to grapple with a mix of emotions — the pain of loss, the ache of uncertainty, and the enduring hope for a reunion.

Community support has played a crucial role in keeping Kerri-Ann's story alive.

As we reflect on the 11 years since Kerri-Ann Joshua went missing, let us not forget the human aspect of this tragedy. Both of Kerri-Ann's parents has since passed, yearning for closure.

The Potters community, siblings, other family members and friends will never forget this young woman whose fate remains a mystery.

There’s nothing that makes me happy about my country anymore. If I dwell on the fact of su*cide long enough I’m sure I would’ve already taken my life.

Antigua has been such a beautiful place but the people are becoming more corrupt. So much negative behavior, narcissism, pessimism, evil.

We forgot what it’s like to show love. And you know what I find funny? We can show love and support to non-nationals but treat our own like s**t.

Politicians are even worse now than before! Just blaming each other instead of correcting the mistakes for the people! I’m scared to see what will happen in the next 20 years. I want the best for the future generations but it all starts with positive thinking, actions and selflessness.

This badmind flu needs to stop going around.

Less We Forget

This shows that the police deliberately did not do their job. And it happens in this country on many instances. To date the police cannot bring the case against young Mr. Ryan who drove his car and knock down Andrea Hughes on New Winthropes road.

Shirlette Thomas still has no answers from the police from shooting death of her son by a police officer. I mean we have many of these case where the police are deliberately killing the case before the court.
Cabinet must be able to do something about this. The police cannot be seen to obstruct justice with impunity. There should be some body in charge of the police that can take action against their lack of doing their job.

It is all well and good to go after the Police. However, there is a situation in Antigua. It involves a business woman and a Chinese Investor. The Police were going to do a search on her home and business. They were called off by someone in a higher position in the Force.I am wondering who ordered that the search not happen. Are there Politicians inserting themselves in certain police situations based on the person involved? What happened to the person who forged the Prime Minister’s signature? ARE WHITE COLLAR CRIMES BEING CONDONED IN ANTIGUA?

A High Court order of a stay remains in place on the police bringing any criminal proceedings against Mark Ryan, the driver being investigated in the fatality case of Andrea Hughes. The order was granted a year ago after the police published the findings of a coroner's inquest, indicating who…

Tell us the best part about your weekend!

In the 1990s, a tragic incident unfolded when a young woman was entrusted by her employer with a significant sum of money to deposit at the bank.

She was employed in a Heritage Quay or Redcliffe Quay store as a store clerk.

During a heavy rainstorm, a familiar individual offered her a ride. Instead of taking her to the bank, he diverted the vehicle upon noticing the large amount of money she carried.

The man, driving a white Corolla, pulled off the road just before Yasco. He then knocked her unconscious with his gun, tied her to the seat, and gagged her with her own underwear. He proceeded to drive to the southern part of the island, where her half-naked body was later discovered.

In the present day, this perpetrator is still seen regularly in St. John's, often walking the streets with others. Despite the abundance of clues and evidence pointing to his guilt, a blind eye has been turned, and the evidence has been buried by colleagues.

This case highlights a severe miscarriage of justice, where the responsible individual remains unpunished, undermining the faith in the legal and judicial systems.

It is disheartening to acknowledge that a significant portion of law enforcement officers are not fulfilling their duties as expected.

This has resulted in numerous cold cases, with no dedicated "Cold Case Files Department" to address them.

Consider the unresolved cases of Jermaine Simon and Ayana Christian in the 90's.

Jabborwock Beach was the scene of the crime.

Ayana has not been found.

Jermaine's body was found in the trunk of the vehicle they were both in previously.

He was shot in the head.

The officers involved in the investigation did not exhaust all avenues in their investigation.

It is imperative that the files be revisited.

Specifically, attention should be given to locating the mechanic who drove a blue Toyota Rav 4 during that period and operated in the Fort Road and Villa Area community.

This mechanic should be asked about the young man who worked with him at the time of the crime.

They both can put the pieces together.

Antigua is too small a place for these unresolved murders and for perpetrators to live among us with impunity.

It is crucial for the safety and justice of our community that these cases be diligently pursued and resolved.

“Maybe if the country would repair or construct certain places to make them teen friendly and sociable, less teens would have idle hands to do wrong. Not saying that would eliminate the problem but more youths would be occupied with activities. I remember and old school arcade near YMCA back in the days that the youths went to after school and so and it was so peaceful to see them happy there. Sometimes we have to do what it takes to protect the future .. Also RAISE THE FKING AGE FOR SMOKING W**D .. dem young minds cannot handle it especially when things done so hard already chupz”
