SABBATH RECAP | September 19th

What a blessed Sabbath! 🙏🏾 We were reminded through the powerful theme “His Strength Is Perfect” that when our strength runs out, God’s strength never does.

As we reflect on a meaningful Sabbath, we’re also looking forward to Pathfinders Day tomorrow!

Come out and support our Pathfinders as they lead, serve, worship, and showcase what it means to grow in faith, character, and service.

The New Bethel SDA Family Nature Program was truly everything we needed it to be, and more!

From meaningful and healthy discussions to shared meals, laughter, fellowship, and genuine togetherness, the day was filled with moments that reminded us of the importance of family. And, of course, we couldn’t leave out Family Feud: Bible Edition! 📖🎉

Every activity was executed flawlessly, and even the cleanup turned into its own little celebration, with dancing, singing, and plenty of laughter along the way! 😂💃🏽🎶

Days like these remind us that church is more than a place we worship; it is a family we belong to. There is strength in coming together, making space for one another, sharing our gifts, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

May we continue to nurture this spirit of love, unity, fellowship, and togetherness, and continue to operate as one family in Christ. ❤️🙏🏽

In a world where technology keeps us connected in so many ways, it can also quietly compete for the time, attention, and meaningful connection our families need.

This September, we invite every family of the New Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church to intentionally reconnect with God and with one another during our Family Togetherness Week of Prayer.

The Church has a vital role to play in supporting members affected by gender-based violence, offering compassion, prayer, guidance, and a safe space to seek help. But we also recognize that some situations go beyond what the Church is equipped or able to address.

That is why publicly available resources and professional services matter. Knowing when to reach beyond our own abilities is also an act of compassion.

As a Church, let us listen, support, speak out, and connect people to the help they need. Together, we can be part of the solution.

END IT NOW - MOVE WITH COMPASSION. 🧡

Last Sabbath, this was the discussion, gender-based violence and the Church’s responsibility to speak out. We cannot be silent when lives are being harmed. As the Church, let us move with compassion, stand with survivors, challenge violence, and be a voice for justice and healing.

It’s time to speak. It’s time to act. End it now.
