We would like to inform you that the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) has officially launched the 2nd edition of the regional competition - Balkathon. This competition represents an opportunity to promote digital smart solutions as well as network young people, start-ups, digital innovation hubs, scientific parks, universities, SMEs etc., to work together and come up with new innovative digital ideas and solutions that may be implemented throughout the region.

The proposed topics for this year Balkathon are: smart cities, green cities, e-health and e-entrepreneur solution. For each of the thematic topic the winner(s) will be awarded with the prize of 10,000 EUR. In addition to this, two additional special awards with a prize of 7,000 EUR each will be provided.

The registration process started from 5 May 2021 and will be open until 19 May 2021, 3:00PM.

The final competition event will be held on 28 May 2021. For more information on competition, registration and requirements please see on link: https://rcc.int/balkathon.

On this occasion we would like also to inform you that RCC is organizing Info session day on Friday, 14 May 2021 for all interested participants. During the Info session the RCC staff will explain all details about Balkathon registration process and answer questions related to the competition. The info session will be held online via Zoom platform starting at 13.00 hours.
