There is a particular kind of summer that exists in Albania.

Long afternoons with nowhere to be.

A swim just because the sea is there.

Lunches that become dinners, conversations that last until sunset, and friends and family returning after months apart.

Perhaps this is the true luxury of an Albanian summer: the permission to slow down.

To swim, eat, talk, laugh, rest.

To be together.

To have nowhere else to be.

And now, as the light begins to soften and summer slowly slips away, we realise what we will miss most.

Not the heat.

Not even the sea.

But the feeling of those precious days when life was wonderfully, beautifully simple ❤️
