Tirana Film Institute is an Albanian creative industry whose main focus is based on promoting European creative industry products in Albania and cooperate with European organizations in order to share common audiovisual products such as feature and short fictions, animations, documentaries, experimental, video art and student film in various forms. Tirana Film Institute carries out its activities in organizing artistic, cultural and cinematographic film weeks, national and international festivals. TFI is also engaged at all times with film and audiovisual production, design of publicity campaigns, various marketing actitvities, promotion and film distribution through various shows, screenings and publications. The rich experience that the staff of TFI disposes allows successfully to organize Tirana International Film Festival in its 15th edition. TFI launched on 2015 a new international film festival as DocuTIFF based on the documentary feature, mid-length and short. TIFF on Tour act as ambassador for the submitted films and will travel with a selection to other Albanian cities during the year. TIFF will also propose special screenings to other regional festivals in accordance to a specific subject or theme. TFI has started a new successful experience as film distributor getting also support from Media program of Creative Europe. By combining and exploring new ways of cinematographic work distribution i.e engaging the audience on public debates by screening in various cinema and open air venues including schools and youth centers. The organisation implements from 3 years by the the CreativeMornings which are meeting that targets various youth debating on creative industry and film quality and distribution in Albania opening a platform to share with regional and international filmmakers.

Are you an emerging documentary filmmaker or producer ready to take the next step in your career? INTRO:DOX 2026 offers two full days of interactive sessions on 15-16 March 2026, designed for professionals working on their first or second non-fiction feature.

The Sunday March 15 will kick off with a welcome session by the documentary programmer and strategist Gugi Gumilang, followed by Mara Gourd-Mercado, Head of Industry and Training at CPH:DOX who will introduce the CPH:INDUSTRY programme and provide key networking tips. The day’s highlight is the Who Is Who? sessions, where participants will meet with top industry representatives, including festival programmers, fund representatives and distributors and sales agents, gaining valuable insights on how to navigate the documentary industry.

The Monday March 16 will bring it all to a close, first through an informative case study of Powwow People (2025), followed by an exciting producers master class, and end with a dynamic Meet & Greet activity designed to connect this year’s INTRO:DOX participants and create opportunities for long-lasting collaborations.

Participants will gain practical insights, take part in mentoring sessions, and build networks through workshops, Meet & Greet events, and a special networking reception where industry professionals mix, mingle, and celebrate emerging talent.
