Yerevan for Sale!! Who Really Owns Our City?
Yerevan’s skyline is rapidly transforming, but beneath the cranes and new facades lies a troubling narrative. Recent investigations have unveiled a web of corruption within the city’s construction sector. In March 2024, the Anti-Corruption Committee arrested a municipal official for bribery related to construction permits, highlighting deep-seated issues in urban planning.

Moreover, the North-South Road project was marred by fraudulent transactions and document falsifications, leading to significant financial losses.

The unchecked influx of foreign capital, particularly from countries like India and Turkey, raises concerns about potential money laundering activities. Properties are often purchased under different names, with individuals acquiring multiple apartments to rent out, creating opaque ownership structures. This not only distorts the housing market but also poses risks to national security.

The housing market is showing signs of instability. Experts note a decline in second-hand apartment prices, attributed to emigration and socio-economic challenges.

This downturn could foreshadow a broader market crash if current trends continue.

It’s imperative for authorities to scrutinize these developments. Without immediate action, Yerevan risks becoming a hub for illicit financial activities, jeopardizing both its economic stability and national security.

Stay informed and vigilant. Yerevan’s future depends on the actions we take today.

Yerevan’s Bus Fare Hike Sparks Public Outrage

The decision to increase bus fares in Yerevan from 100 to 300 drams has ignited widespread criticism from citizens who view the move as both unjustified and exploitative. In a city where many already struggle with low wages and rising living costs, this steep hike feels less like a necessity and more like a blatant disregard for public well-being.

Critics argue that this is not just a financial issue but a fundamental question of governance. Transparency is lacking, and the rationale behind tripling fares remains unclear. Public transportation is a lifeline for thousands, and making it unaffordable undermines the government’s responsibility to serve its citizens.

The people of Yerevan are sending a clear message: the government must follow the laws and listen to the public. Decisions that affect the majority cannot be made without accountability. This isn’t just about bus fares—it’s about holding those in power to their obligations.

“Boycott Yerevan’s Fare Hike. A Government Betrayal”

The Yerevan Municipality’s decision to triple public transport fares to 300 AMD is a direct attack on working-class Armenians already struggling with rising costs and stagnant wages. Tigran Avinyan’s administration is forcing citizens to pay for its failures while offering no improvements to the outdated, unreliable system.

This is not modernization—it’s exploitation. The people of Yerevan must resist this betrayal and demand accountability from a government that’s driving them into financial despair. Boycott now!

Yerevan is suffocating.

Under leadership, our city has become one of the most polluted in the world. Layers of smog blanket the streets while green zones vanish, construction runs unchecked, and traffic chokes us daily. People burn trash to stay warm, adding to the toxic air we breathe.

Meanwhile, Avinyan spends taxpayer money on luxury trips and hands out lucrative city contracts to his friends, all while denying the reality of Yerevan’s environmental crisis.

It’s time for accountability. Avinyan must resign. Yerevan deserves leadership that puts its people and environment first—not personal gain.
This Is Personal

This isn’t just another political failure. It’s personal. It’s the air we breathe, the streets we walk, the lives we lead. Avinyan’s incompetence and corruption have turned Yerevan into a shadow of its former self. We deserve better. We deserve a mayor who cares about the environment, about transparency, and about the people who call this city home

Armenian Army- A System Stuck in the Past

In Armenia, military service is less about defense and more about survival for young boys forced into an unprofessional system. They’re sent to “serve,” unprepared and unsupported, while the wealthy and connected find ways to skip it entirely.

After the war, nothing has changed—no reforms, no modernization. It’s the same outdated system, leaving ordinary families to sacrifice their sons while the privileged walk free.

Armenia needs a professional, reformed army, not a system that exploits the poor and untrained. A country’s defense should be built on strength and equality, not inequality and neglect.
