🏆 Our film "5 dreamers and a horse" has been awarded the first prize in the International feature competition at the Italian PerSo - Perugia Social Film Festival.

Jury statement:

For offering a glimpse into Armenian society portrayed through different generations, combining stylistic rigor and a captivating dramaturgical trajectory. The film thus develops a narrative that is both ironic and affectionate towards humanity, capturing its realistic and imaginative aspects, achieving a desired contamination between testimonial and dreamlike levels through the possibilities of cinematic imagery.

5 Dreamers and a Horse - EVN Report by Sona Karapoghosyan

The directors of the documentary “5 Dreamers and a Horse” manage to think outside of genre limitations, and to blend the elements of magical realism and cinéma vérité to create a strange fairy tale that resembles the one in which we all live.

Armenian Dreamers

Humans have always been dreamers. Our initial dreams revolved around our basic needs of food, shelter, and love. As we evolve, our dreams began to change. Dreams once impossible became common, and attainable in daily life.

Dreams that were once fanciful to a generation have become possible to the new generations, who may not realise how circumstance has influenced their existence. How can society and quality of life transform and affect the dreams of the people within them? Is dreaming cosmic, or a way to connect to our everyday reality?
