Blur Records marks its 8th anniversary with a VA that brings together some of the label’s core artists across six floor-focused cuts. Hotmood Back To The Disco sets things off with a classic, feel-good groove - chunky bass, bright chords, and straight-up disco energy. follows with Let’s Do The Magic, keeping it driving and soulful with his trademark disco rhythm section and subtle funk touches.
Reiner von Vielen & Disko Dust Trip’s Eugen Muntean Get Loose adds a looser, more playful swing, while Anton Bogomolov Just House gets a slick rework from Crackazat - jazzy, refined, and built around clean keys and a steady groove. On the flip, Kurt Spichiger Touch Me leans deeper with smooth textures and late-night mood, before Sven Wegner / Sweg closes with Chuck The Boom, a stripped-back, punchy cut with just enough bounce to keep things locked in.
A well-balanced anniversary release - disco, deep house, and jazz influences throughout, all delivered with the consistency that defines the Blur sound. Limited 12” vinyl edition.
