Pailin Del Diablo a 262 ft waterfall just outside of Banos, Ecuador is a must stop when you are visiting the country. They say a devils face can be seen at this falls but this was something we couldn’t spot 🤯 in English the name translates to Cauldron of the Devil! This is one of those Instagram spots that didn’t disappoint. And the food in this town was on point also. Next up Galapagos! Follow the journey south!

Cotopaxi was one of those iconic spots we just dreamt of when we used to lay in bed in our Toronto apartment and talk about where we wanted to go. To actually be here and camp next to it was just pure emotional. It just shows how far the van and us have come, in South America from Canada 🤯 crazy experience! Can’t wait to keep telling more stories of adventure and kindness from down south. Next up is the Galapagos series. Trust me it’s wild, we spent 5 days on sea and saw the most insane things.

Follow the journey!

Camping at lake Mojanada north of Quito in Ecuador is a must visit spot when in the region. Camping is free and there is a famous hike called Fuya Fuya an inactive volcano. Somehow the clouds and low visibility just made me get lost that day. Super happy for my experience in the mountains to have not pushed more than I was willing to and turned back around safely. Still scary though! I am sure it was a doable hike any another day. Also thanks to Thermarest for the incredibly comfy honcho ponchos. They are so warm.

This is a new format I wanted to try without VO and just dialogues from the clips I recorded. A little bit of asmr also.

Thanks to the amazing community we made in Quito during my recovery. Their love and support got me back to vanlife stronger. Shoutout to Nadeem, Julia, the girls, Ashna and Arun. Travelling with a broken hand in a country full of adventures is so challenging but we made it possible with some positive energy. Special love to the best partner in crime. He is a master hair bun maker now 😆

Ep69/100 : Mashpi Lodge, the most expensive eco-lodge in Ecuador. We were invited by the Mashpi team for a collaboration and spent two unforgettable days here… and honestly, it felt like the universe rewarding us after everything it took to even enter Ecuador. Mashpi Lodge isn’t just the most luxurious eco-lodge in the country, it feels like stepping into another world.

Jorge is a true inspiration story. I met him by chance at a dog training school in Quito and he was kind enough to invite me home and share some stories of his own travels. His life is lived so fulfilling and this just makes me so happy to know there are people out there leading life the way they want to with adventure and kindness in this short time we have here. Jorge, thanks for inspiring us to keep living life and for showing me a beautiful day! Ecuador is turning out to be full of amazing stories ♥️

Quito surprised us in all the best ways.
A city literally in the clouds, with volcano views casually while you drive, tons of history, and full of the kindest people. From colonial streets to the best cafés this is why Quito became one of our favorite stops in South America.
Swipe through our days in the world’s first UNESCO city and see why this place deserves way more love.

Places to go:
1. Mitad Del Mundo
2. Historic Center
3. Cotopaxi
4. Fankor (best cafe)
5. Somos (best tasting menu)
6. Parque Carolina
7. Basilica Del Voto Nacional Church
8. Chocolate tasting (Awki best chocolate)
9. La Floresta neighbourhood for shopping

Ep67/100 entering our 11th country Ecuador almost didn’t happen because no visa on arrival for Indian passport holders. Our research was dated and had no idea that Ecuador had changed laws. There was no way to continue down south as the Ecuador embassy in Colombia said we don’t do this here for Indian passport holder so. Finally our Indian embassy people helped us with this issue and got us the visa to enter and continue our adventures. We were told it’s a huge exception so if you have Indian passport please get your Ecuador visa sorted in advance before starting Pan-American journey. Driving the PanAmerican highway on an Indian passport is not impossible but definitely involves more research and planning.
